Invasive Procedures

May 14, 2002

ETFO MEMBERS ARE NOT TO PERFORM INVASIVE MEDICAL PROCEDURES

Please be aware that ETFO members are not to perform any invasive medical procedures, unless specifically trained and hired to do so.

Invasive medical procedures include, but are not limited to, administering needles and entering a natural body opening, e.g. rectum.

An epipen is not considered an invasive medical procedure and may be administered in a life threatening situation.

Please be aware that volunteering to be trained to perform invasive medical procedures is not part of an ETFO member’s role or responsibility.

If you have been asked to perform an invasive medical procedure, please contact Ruth McLean at Orchard Park, 837-0090.
